I don't think my daughter has ever had a Tuesday/Thursday class (other than language lab), so that's usually when she's done her work/study job.

10 minutes between classes is fine. I would stay away from a 3a/4a/5a schedule if you can because then you'll have no time for lunch. I don't think any other schedule combinations screw you out of food. I would advise against having your classes all spread out on the same day, too, but only because you'll be getting up early, finishing your day late, and in the awkward situation of having time to kill but not wanting to drag your ass back to Goodhue only to turn right around and go to Leighton or whatever. You'll also make it hard to schedule work shifts on MWF, since most supervisors want you there longer than one hour at a time. Leaving blocks of time open in the morning or afternoon to get a couple hours of work is good so you can keep your T/Th days fairly open. Otherwise, you'll get stuck doing all your work on T/Th, and that usually means like 4-5 hour shifts at a time.

First Davis floor plans are at Carleton College: Floor Plans. No idea on square footage, but it looks to be decent-sized for a double.

Thanks, Dietlime. Looking at the floor plan, I think he lucked out.

carleton

hello to all current carleton students, and those who got accepted congratulations
I was just wondering if some people who got accepted [not waitlisted]
could put some of their stats up
carleton is my first choice, and im applying Early Decision
but with all the waitlist threads and their great stats, I'm getting a little worried. thanks.

edylina--My daughter is a class of '11 Carl. She was a National Merit Finalist/Scholar with a 35 ACT, 2290 SAT, and 4.7-something weighted GPA. Good luck to you!

You could look up Carleton on the Stats Profiles lists on the left.

Hey, is there any way to get off a waitlist and into a course? The class I need in order to avoid screwing up my whole schedule currently has 35 / 35 people registered with 3 on the waitlist. Do I have a shot at getting in still?

Yes, you probably have a decent shot at getting in. Which number on the waitlist are you?

Waitlist it, email the professor, show up on the first day. Sometimes the class size limits are strict, sometimes they aren't. With 35 people, there's a very good chance that more than three will drop, anyway.

Thanks for the replies! I actually decided to change my schedule and take that poli sci class winter term. I'm glad, though, that there is some flexibility with the waitlisting process =)
