pre-med at carleton?

sorry if i sound absolutely ignorant, i just recieved an information booklet from carleton and was wondering how good the pre-med program is at carleton or if it even exists. It looks like a really interesting college.

I don't know any specifics on the pre-med program, but Carleton is very highly regarded in the physical sciences. Here's a link to their pre-med page Carleton College: Pre-Medical Program
also, they've just formed a neuroscience concentration

My daughter is interested in neuroscience (but not pre-med) - I emailed the director of the program and she said she'd be happy to talk to her when we tour.

The class of 2010 just declared their major, and Biology is the most popular major. Chemistry and geology are also pretty favored.

Chem and Geo are both in the Seely G Mudd bldg - so they're all be pre-Mudd

Just to elaborate a bit more...you can do the premed curriculum and work with the advisors regardless of your major (they've sent kids from like, 20 different majors to med school in the past 15ish years). I believe the acceptance rate for grads applying to MD programs is about 75% the first time around.
