Your GPA is doing fine, and you said you took a variety of AP courses, so that's good. Your ECs look great as well.

I know the ACT a lot better than I do the SAT... so I found two conversion charts...

http://www.issaquahhighptsa.org/Docu...Conversion.pdf

SAT-ACT Conversion chart

One of them says you got a score equivalent to a 22 and the other says about 25-26. The middle 50% of Carleton has ACT scores of 28-32. That would put you toward the low end of Carleton in terms of your SAT score. That can definitely hurt you; it will hurt you especially if you are in the state of MN and are caucasian.

Here's a great site showing the average SAT and ACT scores of certain colleges:
Average SAT/ACT Scores

You want to be at or above the average for chances at admission. It does not report Carleton's average ACT score, but it will show you a lot of other colleges. It'll show you where your score can fit in.

hello, I'm a gap year international student and I've just graduated from high school, I'm planning to apply to Carleton this year.

My score:
- GPA
+senior year: 9.1/10.0 (in my country's grading system)
+junior year: 8.6/10.0
+soph year: 8.8/10.0
- SAT I: 2040 (760 Math-620 CReading- 660 writing)
- SAT II: i'll take Math I & II this November.

My activities are related to charity, work experience, environment, debating...

I have also accomplished some titles in my country's English contests (regionally and nationally)

apart from what I'll show them in my essays, based on all of these, do I stand any chance?
