Cars for Carls!

I suspect this will be a welcome addition to the campus and car deprived Carls. The school announced a new car-sharing program sponsored by Enterprise called WeCar (their version of the ZipCar) allowing for hourly (+) rentals to those 18 and over:

Carleton College: Carleton News: News: Carleton and WeCar by Enterprise to Launch Car-Sharing Program

Add this to the new schedules for the Northfield Lines Metro Express bus service and the fall term should bring some nicely expanded weekend options into Minneapolis/St. Paul.

It should also be mentioned that all of the cars are hybrids.

I would have loved to have access to car sharing and daily buses to the cities when I was there. Jealous! You whippersnappers have it so good.

Seriously, I had a car at Carleton. I parked it right outside of Watson. I don't think anybody every checked or cared.
