Carleton supplement

Is it me, or are those supplements really short? I only have 400 characters to tell them why I have an interest in Carleton. I'm considering adding a separate document to add more words but I don't know. Does Carleton expect you to only type 400 characters? Are they forgiving if I go over?

When I applied I didn't attach anything extra. You can if you want to, but they're just not supposed to be very long.

If you attach a document, put the entire essay on the document; don't split it up. Other than that, I think I went over on two of the questions on the supplement, though not too much over. Just make sure everything you say is absolutely necessary, and it shouldn't be a problem.
