Major CS, minor business

My S enrolled in SCS, but was told that it would be very difficult to get a business minor because of lack of slots in introductory courses for non-bus majors due to high demand from Tepper students. Any suggestion on improving his odds?

Sign up as early as possible based off his registration time and always keep an eye for business courses and if there's a conflict in time, always pick the business course first.

I know quite a few that are doing business minors, it shouldn't be that hard. The mostly hard ones to get into are the upper-level Tepper courses so I would definitely say its harder to get a double-major in Tepper than a minor. The minor requirements are actually quite simple.

The only person I know who had trouble with a business minor had trouble because there are a number of courses in Tepper labeled "junior and senior only" and he was trying to finish in three years, so he technically didn't have the class standing to get into them until his last year. That said, he managed to get into the classes by talking to the professors who taught them, so it doesn't seem to have caused him too much pain.

Trying to take economics first semester might be a good idea...

Hi, I am a first-year student, ECE major. I just wonder when to take the intro course for business double major. since I find that I can only apply for double major after I declare my ECE major next spring. Should I start to take business courses this fall?
