help needed

Hi ..
i am an international student .. I am an Indian citizen , but currently living in the UAE. I am going to Delhi Private School , Sharjah . Which is a CBSE (Indian Curriculum School). I want to know the basic?minimum requirements needed in order to get admission in Carnegie Mellon for a Undergrad degree in Mechanical Engineering ?? . Thanks in advance

Hello Sharjeel.

The Mechanical Engineering degree at CMU is earned at CIT: Carnegie Institute of Technology.

Here are the minimum requirements for CIT:
High School Classes
4 years English
4 years Mathematics
1 year Chemistry
1 year Physics
1 year Biology
2 years Foreign Language
3 electives

Standardized Tests
SAT Reasoning Test or ACT with Writing
SAT Subject Tests (2 from this list):Math Level I, Ic or IIc; Physics or Chemistry

The admission statistics for CIT are as follows:
CIT
Number applied: 5,428
Number admitted: 1,863
Number enrolled: 423
Average Critical Reading portion of SAT: 610-710
Average Mathetmatics portion of SAT: 710-790
Average Writing portion of SAT: 620-700
Average rank in high school class: 5%
Average high school GPA: 3.71
