Confused/Excited

Hi everyone,

I am starting to apply to schools for a BFA in musical theatre, including CMU. Could someone tell me if there are general ACADEMIC requirements for the school as well as for the program?

Also could someone tell me how the Unified auditions work and what schools audtion there?

Admittance into CMU's drama program is pretty much all based on the audition. Once the drama department has selected you, they send your file to the school's admissions department for a final review. As long as you have a decent record (high school transcripts, test scores, etc) such that they feel you can handle the rigors of college, you are in. You DO NOT need the type of grades/scores the average freshman being admitted into CMU needs -- not even close.
