CMU's bad points

I don't think I've ever seen this question asked. What are the less-appealing aspects of CMU?

All I already know of is the food.

concerning the food, my tastes in food are different from a lot of peoples. I like fast food stuff like McD's/Burger King etc so I have what many would consider "bad taste". Will my tastes be well accomadated at CMU? I also like mangos and kiwis and peaches a lot. I hope they have those for breakfast.

The two things I find bad about it:
1. weather. way cold and windy
2. a lot of asians. i'm used to being in a society with predominantly white, and i guess being different/recognizable. i'm scared of being "just another asian girl"

And I have "bad taste" too!!! lol. wow.... this is kind of crazy...

Yes, the food definitely sucks. Also there's going to be a big random steel pole that's apparently art. That's a separate issue, though.

Specifically, the food sucks because much of it is unhealthy, greasy and nasty-tasting. There's also a very limited choice of on-campus locations (that accept blocks - this is only of concern to freshmen), especially late at night and on weekends. There's a pretty big variety of off-campus food though.

Otherwise, I can't think of anything.

You might like junk food now, but after eating nothing BUT that stuff for a few months...you will never want to see another cheeseburger in your life. I have to go off-campus for food on weekends otherwise I would go insane.

I'm more afraid of being so stressed out and unable to catch up with work that I'd consider doing speed or rittalin (ridalin? i'm too lazy to look that up)

rutgers > community colleges.

if i get stressed out enough, i dunno.
if i HAD to transfer out, it would either be to GaTech or Stevens...
although Stevens would probably not give me a full anymore....

I actually haven't heard any talk about the drug usage (like speed and ritalin, to help you do work)

is that a big thing at CMU? for SCS preferably, but in general would be a good answer too.
