Sleeping Bag Weekend Travel

Im interested in attending the sleeping bag weekend, but will have to fly into Pittsburgh. Upon my arrival, will i need to find my way to CMU on my own? Does anybody know from previous sleeping bag weekends??

It's really easy. Go down to where the busses/shuttles pick people up from the airport. There's a bus called the 28X which runs every 15-20 minutes. CMU is the last stop on the bus, and it's only around $2 each way. If you're not sure where you're going, just ask the bus driver. You'll either get off at 5th & Morewood or Forbes & Morewood. From there you should be able to find where you are with a CMU campus map.

Sign up for the sleeping bag weekend early, they fill up! (Though last year they found space for everyone anyway, it's less stressful to know ahead of time you won't have to stay with Mom at a hotel.)

Yep, the 28X is great - the first stop is the airport, and the last stop is CMU, so you can't miss it. Fare is up to $2.60 which is only really relevant because you need exact change.

Hey seanc, you're going to the April 13 sleeping bad weekend right? Is there any way to get flight vouchers for it or are you paying for the flight to Pittsburgh and back?

from my understanding, cmu only offers compensation for travel for the diversity events. but the travel arrangement for the sleeping bag events need to be made and paid by the individual
