I never got one, but I also don't want to stay on it. Can I just leave it like that?

Wow this is disconcerting. Especially the statement 'It appears that
there may be only a very small number of openings making admission from this
waiting list very competitive'

Is the e-mail for all schools the same?

Also, is this e-mail sent every year ... or is this something unprecedented?

(stephi878, I believe the e-mail is only for people on the PWL. If you are on the PWL and choose not to reply you'll simply be moved to the regular waiting list)

Very small number of openings ... ugh

I don't think this e-mail was ever sent in previous years. Older waitlist threads in CC don't seem to mention it. Whatever the actual number of openings is, it can't be good news for us

And oblivion, it can't hurt. But if you're ever going to send it in, do so soon (Like, today)! They're probably ranking the waitlist in the very near future, since they promised a reply by next Tuesday

Congrats AllisonWes!

Just one question, did your PWL receipt letter also promise a reply on May 6th, or does the College of Fine Arts work on a different timetable?

Mine told me to reply back by May 9th so it might be different for drama kids. I was surprised that I didnt hear on may 6th like everyone else. :/

Oblivion it's unlikely to hurt you, so I'd go ahead and have it sent.
