And actually, to clarify my last post... He did say that if any spots open up on the regular waitlist this summer, there's a chance of some people being pulled.
I have a theory: maybe they didn't have the time to read all of the priority applications and thus told the people whom they didn't read to wait for the regular one. Most of the schools haven't finished processing the wait-list yet, and CMU had said that it had received more priority than expected. Of course, all of this is just a guess...
Got an email today at 1 pm. Quote: "...unable to remove your name from our priority waitlist for MCS.....you will be among the first group to receive admission should any place become available later this summer...." I even picked up my son early from school today to wait for the phone call (we live in the west coast). They should at least call us, like they said they would!
