Carnegie is a bit late with sending housing and email info to students who got in from the priority waitlist. I was emailed this link:

But the instructions that it gives lead me to a page where I need to have my CMU user ID and password. Am I missing something, or do they send you your unique user ID with the letter?

look up your email (user ID) in the directory.. it's usually first letter of your first name then last name.. but anyways, the password is your first 8 digits of your SS#

you can access email at http://my.cmu.edu

you should join facebook too...

To get in the directory, I need my user ID and password. Is there any way to get around this?

really? on http://www.cmu.edu/directory it doesn't ask for any sort of log-in info... hmm.

Yay. I logged into it for the first time today and found 550 emails waiting for me... spam... tastey. So, I highly doubt I'm ever going to use that email address...
