Well, the Carnegie Mellon web says that "interviews are strongly recommended if you plan to apply..." so I guess that I better arrange one. However there is no interviewer available in Canada, the country I'm living in. So will I get a telephone interview? Or no interview at all?

P.S. I'm applying to Tepper.

I'd call the admissions office and ask them. They might have contact info for an alumni interviewer out in your area.
