ATMs

Hi. Yes, I ask questions on here a lot.
I submitted my deposit today.
Anybody have any idea on which is the best bank to choose. US Bank has the partnership with Case on one easy card.

But my questions is: which bank has the most ATM machines near Case?
I know KeyBank, NationalCity, and US Bank has ATM machines at Case campus (Key at cleveland clinic or something).
BTW, I have Wells Fargo, but it is not in cleveland.

I'd recommend National City, although I think KeyBank or US Bank technically has the most ATMs around campus. The nice thing about national city is that there is a branch one block off of the main campus, so if you ever need to get something taken care of in person, it doesn't require a big excursion.

Part of your decision about what bank to choose should probably depend on what is available in your hometown or where you plan to spend your summers. My parents have been able to transfer money to my national city account when it got too low, and it was also handy to have a free ATM to go to when I moved to Pittsburgh for a summer.

There are ATMs in Wade and Fribley (north and south side commons). I think these are US Bank, but I'm not sure. Most of the time when I've looked at them, they have been out of cash or broken (although that is probably just my luck).

ATM access doesn't seem to be a big issue for many students at Case. For the most part, students use CaseCash and just carry a few extra bucks around with them. Stopping at Thwing to use the ATM has never been a big deal for me on the infrequent occasions that I need cash. Most students I know use a credit or debit card instead of cash when they go off campus.

Check w/your hometown bank and see if they waive ATM fees at other banks ATM's. My S kept his hometown bank acct, pays bill online, can use any ATM 4 times a month for free. Hometown bank credits his acct for other bank ATM fees.
As flute said above, most kids don't need cash. S rarely uses ATM, but can if needed at no charge.

I have accounts at Charter One (citizen's bank for some of you)
they've got a branch right off of Euclid and Cornell, which is about 2 minutes from the main campus. Also the branch is attached to that starbucks there, which means the bank is open longer than a normal one.

I actually don't know a lot of students who opted for the US bank, despite the partnership.

I'd also consider how many of the branches there are near your hometown as well. No use getting an account that is only convenient at school

I know the one in Fribley is Key Bank. Yeah, don't go for US Bank, I'd suggest National City if you don't like to deposit through ATMs or Key Bank if you really like to use ATMs.
