Case Weatherhead School of Business or Boston U. School of Management? I plan to follow through for law school so I guess that's another factor to consider.

Case:
pros: medium sized (4000 undergrad), great study abroad (at least from the presentation many have gone to London School of Economics for a year), and within the past 5 years their graduates have attended grad schools that I would like to attend (they can help me shape my path since they've helped previous students)
cons: Cleveland is kinda dead and I've wanted to get out of OH for a while (yet the orientation was pleasant so I'm giving it a chance)

BU:
pros: Boston (still metropolitan) therefore many possibilities
cons: 4000 freshman (yikes), students seem to only spend one semester study abroad, if I do study abroad in LSC I have to withdraw from BU then reapply, and when it comes to internships in the area I'll have to compete against many students from other institutions (there's ~60 schools in the Boston area)

There seem to be more cons for BU, but the pull is the location. For Case, it has a great program but the downside is Cleveland. So who do I choose? I have to deposit by next Friday. Thank you for your help!

I think you're giving location too much weight-- focus more on the quality of the education and potential careers in the location.

I agree with Cast. While location is certainly a factor when selecting a college, the most important thing is the school itself. I’d say to go wherever you feel you’re going to get the best education. After all, remember that you’re picking a school here, not a vacation destination. You will have plenty of opportunities to move after you graduate (especially if you have a degree from a well-respected university). Good luck!

I know that, but location, for me is one of the top factors due to opportunities, social activities, etc. Location is one of the things I considered when I chose colleges and these are the two I am left with. Case is generally a better school with a smaller size but because of the location of BU, there might be more opportunity in Boston than Cleveland

Although Boston is a great location with great schools, wouldn't you have much even more competition for jobs than you would in Cleveland? Just my thought.

Makes sense. I seem to be leaning towards Case since it is a much smaller school; therefore more focus. I am just holding onto BU because it is a more metropolitan/booming area so opportunities are numerous, yet there are 60 institutions in the Boston area and while Cleveland it may not be as large, there's not as much competition except between the students of the university itself. Also Case seemed a lot more "mellow". Right now it's 55% Case, 45% BU and I'm willing to put down a deposit for both to give me more time before the June Orientation, but I'd like to save money because in the end, I can only go to one.

Just one last concern.... is it true that the science majors get all the attention? I know assumptions aren't always true, but..... how do the other students stack up?

I think Nursing receives a good portion of the attention as well. Really, Case is known for science, I think engineering, and nursing. Ultimately, all majors at Case are good.

science depts are strong, so most of the research funding comes from science dept. professors.

in other words, the science department professors obtain a lot of the money for the school.

So not necessarily students get more attention, but "naturally" the school is more biased towards sciences and engineering
