No Decision?

Some of you may have remembered a post I made here a while ago regarding my admission status at Case. I was deferred Early action, waitlisted, and have yet to receive a decision of any kind.

My stats: top 10% class rank, 28 ACT composite, various leadership/extracurricular involvements, good community service record. Attended a relatively small, rural Ohio high school (7th in class of 107), but feel I stood out enough among my peers to gain admission to Case Western.

I have received no notification of my status, and it appears I am still on the alternate list. However, a decision was supposed to be made by June 1.

I will probably attend The Ohio State University for a variety of reasons, but Case has always been a goal of mine. I'm fine with my status if I'm rejected, though for reasons I can't understand, but I don't even know if that's the case. CWRU has really handled my application with a high degree of carelessness. OSU admitted me within a month of submission, but Case has provided me with indecisiveness for the past seven months. I'm within the ACT percentile of accepted students at Case, and have a relatively high class rank. What gives?

- As a side note, I called the UA office on June 3, and the woman I spoke to told me notifications had been sent out. I have not received one via post, email, or the status check page.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If notifications were mailed June 3, and you live in Ohio, you should have received something by now. Therefore, it would not be out of line to call and speak to someone in admissions and ask for a final determination of your application status. Be polite but firm; you deserve an answer one way or the other.
