Regarding PPSP and CWRU... From the PPSP pamphlet on the Case Website:
http://admission.case.edu/pdfs/ppsp.pdf
(I would look it over if you are applying)

I'm guessing from your profile that you're thinking about the medicine PPSP... Here is what the pamphlet says:
Quote:
Medical School

PPSP offers students the opportunity to apply for admission to the Case School of Medicine in conjunction with their application to the first-year class. Selected students complete bachelor’s degrees before beginning their professional studies; PPSP is not designated as an accelerated entrance to medical school. PPSP students who complete degree requirements
in fewer than four years are required to pursue other significant experiences intended to enhance their professional and/or personal development during the semesters following receipt of their bachelor’s degree and until study at the Case School of Medicine begins. Examples of this experience may include, but are not limited to: research, study abroad, community service and/or additional undergraduate
or graduate coursework. The average PPSP candidate for the Case School of Medicine will have ranked at least in the top 10 percent of his or her senior class and have an average SAT composite (math, critical reading and writing) score of 2200-2300 or an average ACT composite score of 31-34. Retention of PPSP medical students has traditionally been above 90 percent. While the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) is not required for PPSP students, Pre-Professional Scholars who choose to take it must present a total score of 33 or above. In addition, some scholarship programs for the Case School of Medicine require MCAT scores; PPSP students may choose to take the exam to be considered for merit-based aid.

One IMPORTANT note: If you apply PPSP, you CANNOT apply early action. Pick one or the other. It says so in the yellow box on the Case admission page: Case Western Reserve University - Application Plans & Deadlines

I'd say you're definitely in, especially if you apply early action. Merit aid is possible. To be frank, I don't think you have a chance at PPSP. They only accept 5-10 students a year, and it's incredibly, incredibly competitive. I know several amazing people - including one that made it through to the final interview - that didn't make it.

However, this is no reflection on your ability to get into Case's med school if that's your ultimate goal... Just have a strong undergrad with great grades and plenty of research/medical experience.
