over 80% acceptance rate

i'm applying to cua, and i was wondering why it seems to be so easy to get in. While cua isn't a top 20 university, it still has a solid reputation, or does it? What accounts for such high acceptance rates (my local state university of nevada has lower acceptance)? Is it just that not many students know about cua, and does being catholic help in admissions?

anyway, thanks for any input to these questions

CUA is an EXCELLENT school ,but unfortunately it can not compete with the other surrounding schools. Georgetown University, George Washington, and American University.

Solid reputation. Excellent school. But I know students like my D applied to CUA along with other DC schools because she really wanted to go to school in DC. So I suspect CUA accepts a fair number of good candidates who then elect to go elsewhere which might skew the acceptance rate and not necessarily inply it's easy to get in.

Being it is The "CATHOLIC" University of America might intimidate a few people.
