Question ... does Centre have a scholars weekend for awarding their top scholarship? I just know I spoke with the admissions counselor about this, but now I'm doubting myself. Do you know?

You know, I don't know. Jessie was never invited to attend a special scholarship weekend. The only thing she did after her acceptance was an athletic overnight visit and a freshman "testing" day in June.

Yes, Centre has a Scholars Weekend, which is a competition, not an awards ceremony. This years it's March 10-11, and attendance for winning top scholarships is mandatory. It appears to be by invitation only, to compete for the Dean's Scholarship ($19,500/year), Grissom Scholarship (2/3 tuition), and President's Scholarship (tuition and fees.)

les_traveled , well now. If there are 16 total and you have a letter and I have a letter, that doesn't leave that many, huh? LOL. Congrats to your ..uhh...kiddo. (I gotcha - anonymity, huh? It's pretty big with me , too. Low-profile all the way. Mums the word. Zipped lips. LOL.) Does Centre rank pretty high on the list?
