Yes, my status also says "Decision Reached" as of 3/4. I am super anxious. Though, I applied as a dance major, and they told me they would notify me by march 17..... that might just be for dance majors but we should receive them very soon. Still trying to interpret the meaning behind "Decision Reached"... lol
Friend's D also has Decision Reached as of this past w/e.
Did anyone get anything in the mail yet???
My D received an email from Chapman today letting her know that decisions are hitting the mail tomorrow. Not sure if that means all of them will be sent out by tomorrow, or if that is the earliest that they will be sent out. Her status is still "decision pending"
Someone called and was told their decision went in the mail on Monday...
I live nearby and still nothing. ):
I got 'decision reached' on the ninth.
Email. Link is only the newletter heading, but sure it must be online.
Decision Notifications for Freshmen Applicants Are Hitting the Mail Friday
It's an exciting and overwhelming time of year for a lot of students waiting to hear back about their admission decisions from universities and colleges worldwide. Here at Chapman, our counselors have been busy reading for the past six months, navigating their way through more than 12,300 applications from wonderful students like you. It is an exciting time for us as we think about the future of Chapman and the limitless potential of students who have applied this year.
We are wrapping up reading the rest of the applications we have received. For those of you in the Regular Decision applicant pool, admission decisions have started to go out in the mail. Please be patient with us as we are getting thousands of decisions out in the mail every day. When a decision has been made on your file, the decision status on your WebAdvisor account will most likely change to "Decision Reached." The decision letter still has to print, be matched up with your file, signed, placed in an envelope, and THEN be prepared for pick up. PHEW! This whole process of the letter actually getting mailed can take up to a week before it is sent on its merry way to the Post Office. Finally, depending on where you live, the decision will usually arrive within a week of it actually leaving our office.
Official admission decisions cannot be revealed over the phone by our office. Official decisions can only come through the mail and are not valid if received by any source (including coaches, academic departments, emails, etc.) other than our office.
We are very sympathetic with how stressful this process is for students who anxiously await hearing back from schools to which they have applied. So try to relax, because the culmination of the past four years of hard work will end up paying off as you start the next chapter of your life.
If you have questions, please let us know. Until then, enjoy the rest of your senior year!
Go Class of 2017!
They just announced on facebook that decisions are being mailed (with a picture!)
Good luck everybody!
Thanks for the heads up - I just checked it out. We're still patiently waiting at the mail box for my D
Although it doesn't seem to the be the same as the email that came out. The email describes that acceptances will trickle out based on the Decision Reached Date, but it really looks like the mass mailing will occur on one day - Today!
Has anyone received the email re: Dodge College's Final Cut event in NY. It says admission is free for prospective and admitted students to meet filmmakers and faculty. I can change my D's flight plans so she can attend, but it seems cruel to send two emails about the event (with an RSVP of 3/20) if the admissions notices are just now going in the mail and we don't know the status. She became "decision reached" on March 9th. Was hoping to spare switching to a full-price ticket by booking early. On the other hand it would be awkward for her to attend only to find out she's not accepted. - sigh.
Just wondering if anyone had encountered this situation and "not" gotten into Dodge.
My D's status finally changed to "Decision Reached". Guess it is now time to start checking the mail box instead of the portal. Good luck to all those waiting!
Rumor has it that some can see their financial award letter now on the website. I'm not going to check because I don't want to get depressed for my D any earlier than I have to.
I got in!! I applied for digital arts EA but i was rolled to RD.
I'm so excited! :D
^Erinconomy - Huge congratulations! I know the Digital Arts program is becoming very competitive. Can you tell us what state you live in? That might encourage (or discourage) some of us who didn't get anything in the mail today.
I live ten minutes away from Chapman. c:
