I just found my green WebAdvisor sheet that has my login info. On WebAdvisor, it says Admissions Approved. Does this mean I'm admitted to Chapman AND my major (Screenwriting)? I don't want to get too excited yet until I know for sure haha

Well, it says on the admissions blog that it's "all or nothing". You are either admitted to your major or you are rejected. Here's the link:

Scroll down to "Eric said..."

Sounds promising to me!

Did you have a second choice major?

After not getting the financial "letter/packet", and worrying for my daughter who loves, loves, loves Chapman, she went to the mailbox yesterday and the big, beautiful packet was there! She is in! Now, how do we pay for this great school? She has scholarships elsewhere, but not a thing from Chapman . . . yet.

Where are you from Adultparentmom? Out of state? Just wondering if many OOS'ers have heard anything yet. My daughter hasn't heard yet and online it still says 'decision pending'---it's hard to be patient!

Congrats to all of you who have gotten your packets!

Thanks for that link, schase! I only put down Screenwriting, so I'm hoping that I'm in. Still, I'm not going to let myself get too psyched until I can a packet lol I'm crossing my fingers that mine is coming Tuesday.

I'm an OOS-er, by the way.

straycat, we are in southern California. I do not know if they put the applications in "regions", or they just go through them in groups by the date they receive them. Good luck to your daughter!

Thanks, Adultparentmom! We are from the North Texas area. How about you, Hopeful2012er? Where are you from? I think they group the applications by date they received. My daughter cut it really close to the deadline, I know that! So, we may just have to wait it out... Good luck everyone!

Just got my letter and packet today! I'm in!

The letter is dated January 15.

I'm in Columbus, Ohio.

I cut it close to the deadline, too -- as in, thank God for time zone differences otherwise my supplemental app would not have been accepted. I faxed it at about 1am EST, an hour after it was due...but in Orange, it was only 10pm EST on the day of the deadline.

Congrats to everyone who was accepted! I was wondering if anyone knows when you find out about scholarships, or money they will give you. Would they have sent me info with my acceptance package, or do they decide later. Also, if I said I was not looking for financial aid on my application, should I not fill out the FAFSA form, or do I still have time to do it.
Thanks for the help.
Hope to see some of you next year.

On my WebAdvisor status it says "Fall Term Grades Requested"... I think I'm deferred, but I haven't gotten anything in the mail, so I'm not sure. The status was changed from "File Complete" to "Fall Term Grades Requested" on January 17th, so I should be getting a letter soon, I think...I hope...haha

I don't know the answers to your specific questions, rhyce. But there was no financial aid info in my packet and I asked to be considered for fin. aid. I'd call them to ask your other questions.

Question about packet: My S got a letter of acceptance, but not a "packet".
What is included in the packet that you received? I'm wondering if I should call to see if we've missed something.

2912rent, the "packet" is one 8 1/2 by 11 envelope with a big black folder that says MY CHAPMAN and Welcome to Chapman University on the front. Inside is the acceptance letter and forms and one of those "certificates, suitable for framing" things. These should be sent to everybody. I would request it, because it does have health record and insurance forms, etc., and it is just nice to get it in the mail! My daughter got a scholarship today in the mail, so it looks like Chapman really is a possibility, now.
