I currently go to UCSB but I am thinking about transferring to Chapman, does anyone know the acceptance rate for transfers?

same situation. are you a freshman as well? i spent a weekend in chapman and absolutely loved it. i have only a little experience in film but id love to get into the film school at chapman. is it possible to transfer after only one year? my high school gpa and sats were very high, and i intend to keep my grades high here too as i am in the honors program. can anyone give insight on this?

yes I am a currently a tv major down at Chapman and their film school is quite unbelievable..the school was build in 2006 so its like brand new..and also you have tiny classes and professors are awesome....now as far as applying ..I know that the tv entrance to the film school is easier than applying for film production..for film production chapman only chooses a few students a year. my advice is to keep up with your good grades and such..but you need a fantastic portfolio of work etc to show chapman that you are film savy..

Now as far as just transfering into chapman for a transfer..im not sure on the rate but i do know the school last year when i was accepted had a 50% acceptance rate which is quite high..and they just added an even larger freshman class this year... i would say your chances are quite good but you need to have a strong college GPA..that matters most

transfer chances.

what would say the chances where for someone to get in as an undergraduate, after just one semester as a freshman, to get into chapman? i applied last semester, and apparantly, didn't get in. i had really poor grades. so what would you say chances were, with decent sat scores, a good video essay, regular essay, regular and creative LORs, and good college grades? (then again, it's only been one semester).
