Anyone looking to transfer this SPRING 2010?

Just finished submitting my app, and wanted to see if anyone else is in the same boat. Chapman admissions rep told me they will admit only about 115 transfers this spring--pretty small incoming class. One thing I'm worried about is the influx of applicants that may come to Chapman this spring due to the UC's not accepting spring transfers.

I'm in the same boat. I know a lot of transfers considered applying to Chapman and Loyola Marymount because they accept spring transfers and pretty much no one else does. I wish you all the luck! I guess all we can do is hope and wait.

I waited awhile; I'll be a junior when I transfer. I also took a year off so... We're both being a little gutsy here; especially applying for the spring semester, because there's fewer spaces, I assume.

Lol, me too! It's gonna be tough, but I believe in positive thinking. I actually have two more things I need to do. I need to fax over my rec form and upload my video essay to the website. I wish you luck! There film production program is very popular.

you are? that's also awesome. do you know how many transfers they'll be/might be taking for that major, for the spring 2010 semester? i'm actually behind. ha. i sent in my LORs, transcripts and scores, just not my application yet. i can't seem to finish. i know it's good to be early, but with something this important, nothing i write seems good enough. i mean i using all the time i can to make everything better.
yeah, i'm real optimistic too. although space is tight, and their acceptance rate for film production is small, i still have so much hope. and i got a good feeling about it all.

I'm not sure how many people they are admitting for spring 2010. I might call Dodge College and ask, that's a good question. I do know it's a limited number, far less than in the fall. But, I'm not worried, haha. I'm still not done with my app either, just make sure to turn it in by Sunday, the deadline. All I have left is my letter of rec which I'm faxing today, but that's for Chapman University. All my stuff for Dodge College was submitted already... woof.

I'm proud of my app. It could be better of course, but for the most part--I'm happy with it. I was trying really hard not to worry, but then I got some awful news today. I got a letter in the mail from Chapman that explained how to check my app status online. I checked and it said I was missing my High School transcripts. I called and asked why they needed my High School transcripts and they said "if you have less that 60 credits we need your high school transcript." I have 59 credits.... So now, there's no way they'll get my transcripts in time. Saddest part, I worked really hard on my app. Even so, I'm still optimistic. I may be a couple days late, but all is gonna be great! I'm not gonna let one credit get in my way, lol

aw, man, one credit. but it's okay. i read on one of their blog, admission sites that it's fine if things like transcripts, or letters of recommendation to come in a bit late, even a week or two would be fine. they say it's not a big deal because usually they have so many applications that they don't even get to it until much later. yup. you're fine. and how soon after did you get your letter for, webadvisor, is it?

thanks! VRBain, don't worry. they just said your application doesn't get fully processed until all your items are in. i sent in my transcripts 2 weeks after the deadline last time and i still got admitted. haha. i just sent in my readmit yesterday and plan on sending in my transcripts and rec letter on monday.
