CUHK and HKU

Hey!

I'm a student studying in Canada BC.
I have applied to both HKU and CUHK and hope to get in for undergraduate degree.
I haven't gotten any replies yet and I am getting kind of worried.
My average is about 85% in 5 major courses in high school Grade 12. My TOEFL score is 115 out of 120. I have a diverse amount of community service.
I am applying for BA&BEd (Lang-Eng) and BA for both HKU and CUHK. (1st and 2nd choice).

I'm just wondering if i can get into those universities with this kind of score?
Has anyone heard from HKU for BA and BA&BEd(Lang) yet?
When do they usually give offers?

My friend got in for BA with an average around 87%. She doesn't have IB or TOEFL and her community service is around the same as me. But she has attended to many school exchanges and passed JLPT (Japanese Language Exam) Level 1 in Grade 10.

Thanks

@luckylily
You may be able to transfer considering on your grades. Might not be so easy though.
May I ask your stats of getting into HKU??? Grades?

@bemybfkj sorry for the late reply. Very new to this forum and not used to navigating! I'm international, not quite done with Alevels yet so it's a conditional offer. How difficult is difficult? Im willing to work my butt off.

@Pisces 21. I got into the BA programme in hku. As far as i know, the BA-BEdLang is a very competitive course. They offer less than 30 places, but the hk unis doubled their quota for international n non jupas applicants for the 2012-2013 admissions. I have a conditional offer frm cuhk as well n their requirements (surprisingly) are quite low

2So basically I just sent my last supporting documents in July 12 and it should have arrived by now. I know i am very late, and in the second and last round of admissions, so there might not be so many spaces left. And i have been checking my application status everyday and it's always "under consideration". And according to their reply to one of my emails, they could take until the end of August to give me an answer. BUT I know that classes start at September 1st, and also that the election of courses is during mid August. So, if they were to notify me late there wouldn't be much time to arrange my necessities. Which only leads me to two hypothesis to the why they haven't reply although my application is complete: 1) they plan to reject me. 2) I'm on the waiting list

SO SUMMING IT UP:
-I was born in Hong Kong but raised and live in Peru. Which i consider an advantage to "increasing my cultural experience and perspective".
-I speak fluently four languages: french, english, cantonese, spanish. With exceptionally good handle of Spanish and English, them being my first languages.
-My high school was a private and british, with a rigorious education system based on the International baccaularette program.
-My high school average grade would be between B and A.
-Cheerleader captain.
-With some working experience and my extracurricular activities include: swimming, tennis, guitar, and some more. But none of those in a professional way, just as hobbies.

CONSIDER:
-I'm in the last round of applicants.
-This year only HKU is taking twice as much freshman.

Hi, JessicaMC. I am European student and made a late application at HKU (BBA Econ and Fin)in July as well. My application status is still 'under consideration' according to the page.
Have you received offer from uni or your status has been updated recently ?
