Top Christian Colleges

Hello all,

I was having trouble finding this information, and I was wondering what the top Christian (both Catholic and Protestant) colleges are academically. By Christian colleges I mean colleges that actually enforce traditional ideas, not colleges that technically have an affiliation but don't enforce it. I would consider Steubenville and Pepperdine Christian colleges. I would not really consider Georgetown or Notre Dame Christian colleges in the sense that I mean.

Thanks!

Notre Dame can be pretty strict about sex and such, and Georgetown also won't provide birth control, though isn't seen as being as strict. Both are "real" Christian schools. Catholic University of America is considered more strict than either (but not extremely so), though I don't know if it's what you're looking for.

But since you're being ambiguous about what would qualify, it's hard to give you a list of "top" ones. You could find a list of top Christian schools then eliminate the ones you see as too lenient, if you want. Sounds like you probably aren't looking at the more liberal Jesuit schools.

Sorry! What I'm talking about is schools that follow Christian values and ideals, and are stricter about that sort of thing. Georgetown, etc. are religiously affiliated, but have strayed from their Christian roots and become much more secular.

What I'm asking for is the top colleges academically that adhere to Christian values.

Hope this was less confusing!

Honestly, I see those schools as largely adhering to Christian values (except when they have business schools).

I'm not trying to criticize your beliefs, I just want to help. Can you please explain what you mean?

Maybe these are what you mean?

>90% Christian?
No gender mixing in dorms?
Christian Theology courses mandatory?
Church services mandatory?
Strong social conservative bent (anti-abortion)?

It might also help if you told me why you think Georgetown isn't Christian enough. Then it would be clearer what you are and are not looking for.

I have to agree with Billy - it looks like your criteria would only be your own. You need to be far more precise.
