Which one should I go to APU or CSUN?

Hello, I'm currently a senior in high school and plan on going to California for college. For those of you who don't know, CSUN is a public university meaning I would have to pay out of state tuition and APU is a private, Christian school? It's more expensive than CSU but soo far I do have a scholarship there. I'm more towards APU right now, I even already turne in my tuition and housing deposit but before I make my decision, I would really like some opinions on people who are very familiar with at least one of these two schools or the CSU system. I know CSUN as a public school is highly affected by the state budget and kids can't always register for their classes and can't always graduate in 4 years. Does anyone who go to CSUN or a CSU experience any of these things. Also, do you know if CSUN would award me any financial aid?

I am currently a high school junior and I am going to apply to both of those schools. I attended a financial aid planning seminar at APU and fell in love with the school! The campus is beautiful, the students are so sociable and welcoming, and I got just an overall warm vibe from the school. APU is a small school, CSUN is big. I don't know which you prefer, but smaller means more class attention. APU also has so many activities for it's students! However, if you aren't Christian and want a more 'party' school, you may want to go with CSUN. But the out state tuition for CSUN is pretty pricey, so for the few extra bucks and a better experience I would say go with APU (:

Yeah I think I'm gonna go to APU. Actually APU would be less expensive than CSUN because as a private school, I will get university grant and other financial aid in addition to my scholarship. I joined a facebook page for APU class of 2015 and I've already made friends with many kids and it feels like family already. Since you're from CA, how long would you say it takes to get from HOLLYWOOD to APU?

I just came across this post by random chance.. It just so happens that I am from Northridge and currently attending APU... I would say your best chance is to go to APU... As you mentioned the state funding is not good right now and that could potentially really hurt you. As for financial aid? yeah they will give you some, but if you compare it to what APU is willing to give and the quality of the university APU will always be a better choice. That's notme being biased or anything.

Yeah, I'm also part of the FB page of 2014 and APU is EXTREMELY HOMEY.As in they make you feel very much so welcomed. I would recommend it.. but keep in mind all the policies, rules, and regulations coming with the Christian college part of it.

Yeah I've been looking at the APU class pages and it's amazing how these random strangers seem to have grown so close, all just from a facebook page! And from APU to Hollywood it's about an hour or a little less, depending on traffic. Not bad considering it's SoCal. And the beach is close too! A little over an hour. But I'm glad you're picking APU. I really hope I receive a scholarship! Did you?
