Question About Christian Colleges

I am currently attending a technical college majoring in Criminal Justice, but I learned today that Shorter University in Rome, Ga which is where I live is offering a Criminal Justice program starting in the fall. I want to transfer there but its a Christian College and I am not a religious person at all, so I am apprehensive about transferring there. What are Christian Colleges like? Would someone like me fit in? I called the admissions department and the woman I spoke with said religion is not forced down the students throat but it is a part of the student's life, what does that mean? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Christian colleges vary greatly. In some you'd be fine. In others you'd feel like a fish out of water. The only way you'll really know is if you visit the campus and talk with current students.

For sure, Shorter's more conservative than Berry, another really fine place in your lovely community. But neither one are Bible-beating in their Christian fervor. You'd find plenty of Southern Babdusts @ Shorter, but you'd also find many secular compadres. If Berry has a crim justice major, that'd be the place to go when in Rome! btw, GREAT minor league stadium for your Braves! Fabulous!!

Thanks ya'll I really appreciate the input and Whistle Pig first off thanks for the compliments on the stadium I agree it is a fabulous stadium and unfortuatly Berry doesn't offer Criminal Justice. I've decided that I am gonna take the woman I spoke with todays advice and visit the college before making a final decision.
