Looking for a Christian College that meets the expectations I have

Small Student:Teacher ration preferably less than 4000 students
Pretty/Nice Campus
On Campus housing for first year students
Cross Country team with athletic scholarship money
Major in Youth Ministry or Christian Ministry
Study Abroad program
Not just a christian affiliated but the school is all about the christian life style and glorifying God in all you do

If you could help me out with this I would be really grateful I found a few colleges that interested me the found that their campuses are like a community college and a really nice campus is something I've always wanted. Thanks for helping.

There are any number of schools that might fit, w/ one possible exception ...the X country FA ...that'll require an NAIA or NCAA Div I type place, I'd suspect.

Agree with the sentiments about Biola, and the cross country team has been rocking it.

Northwestern College (Iowa)

Look into Northwestern College in Iowa. They have a good cross country program and offer athletic scholarships. They've also got everything else on your list, including good programs in youth ministry and Christian education.

Check out Olivet Nazarene University in IL. I know it has a cross country team, but I'm not sure if it offers scholarships. It probably does. Other than that, it has everything on your list. Just under 4000 students, and the campus is really nice. There's no drinking allowed, you go to chapel twice a week and many of the professors lead prayer at the beginning of class.

RunForGod - Check into Messiah College in PA. My daughter is a freshman. They have a cross crountry team. The most beautiful campus - over 400 acres. A creek and huge trees. Lots and lots of open, grassy spaces. Woods, etc. There are about 2,800 students. I don't know about athletic scholarships - DD earned an academic one. Good luck in your search!

Messiah, Malone, most others are NCAA III ...no athletic GIAs available. Some are NAIA, which allows for FA to athletes. Still few if any would offer any significant FA for XC or track. Generally only Div I schools like Villanova, Oregon, Big 10, PAC 10, SEC schools. None of which are Christian colleges. Northwestern is Christian Reformed, I believe, and NW, Malone and Biola are all NAIA affiliated schools, so may have a few XC shekels to be had. If so it'll be principally dad-ego $$, i.e. token perhaps sufficient to buy an Intro to Chem book.

Le Moyne College.

I have a major bias because that's where I go BUT...

It has:

1) About 3400 students (about 2700 undergrads and 700 grads).
2) A beautiful campus. In fact, that was a good part of the reason I chose the school.
3) Nice on campus housing for all years. Really, even freshmen housing is perfectly decent.
4) Cross country and athletic scholarships.
5) A "religious studies" major with a concentration in education.
6) GREAT study abroad program that lets you go literally anywhere you want!
7) Amazing campus feel...everyone is super friendly and will help you out with whatever you need. Superb campus ministry program.
8) MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS up the wazoo! I got $10,000/year in merit scholarships, and my high school GPA was below a 3.0.
9) There's always something going on on campus.
10)Great academics with only professors teaching classes, never a TA or anything. Also, small classes. Most are about 25 students.

Check out Belhaven College in Jackson, MS.

They have about 1000 traditional students, a VERY pretty campus, and a cross country team.

I visited last Friday and was very impressed. I'm looking for many of the same qualities as you.
