Art Education major

My middle ds is interested in majoring in art, specifically art education, and we are having trouble locating Christian or conservative colleges with a solid art program in the Mid-Atlantic states. So many of the Christian schools seem to have tiny, tiny art departments! We actually live near Messiah College, which does have this major, but ds wants to be a little farther away from home (but not farther than a day's drive).

Being an artist, ds is into self-expression and will not be happy with strict dress codes, so a few colleges are already crossed off the list.

I'd be interested in hearing any input. Thanks!

I think the insistence on mid atlantic states is what's limiting your options.

Hope college in Holland, Michigan is one of few nationally accredited art programs. It's a good Christian school.
