More Applicants than Expected

I heard a rumor--completely unsubstantiated--that there are an unexpected number of applications this year to CNU.

A young woman who was applying told my CNU freshman during the break that she was told that there were 7000 (!) applicants for 1200 positions.

I suspect there may be a garble in those numbers. If you're planning on completing an application, however, I would suggest you finish it off sooner rather than later.

We were told (last spring) that they expected 1000 more applicants this year than last year, and I think there were 3000 applicants last year. If these rumors are true, that's a big, unexpeted change.

I got in for early admission! I'm excited, and I';m considering going there if I don't get in to Mary Washington.

You're right; it seems as though there are a lot of people applying there this year; there are so many of my classmates who have applied there. I think their reputation has grown, and the facilities are absolutely phenomenal, which really attracts a lot of people.
