Hey guys,

This may be off topic but I got accepted into the City College of New York in February 2009..so, can anyone tell me about it? Like, is it considered a good school and stuff like that?
I don't know much about it, to be honest.

Oh and uh before anyone says anything like "How can you apply to a school and not know much about it?"
I didn't apply to CCNY. I originally applied to Hunter and that was the only CUNY school that I applied to, but I got a letter from CUNY saying that the school I had chosen wasn't offering the curriculum I wanted or something like that, so, they accepted me into CCNY instead.

I got into Macaulay Honors at Queens College last week!

I was wondering if the classes could be considered difficult? A 3.5 gpa seems stressful to maintain, especially when failure to do so would result in just regular Queens College. o_o;;

I got rejected by Macaulay at Hunter, but they never emailed or sent a letter or anything. My mom called when it was a week and a half after March 15 and they said they would ask the dean about it the next day. I called the next day and the lady who answered the phone snapped at me, said she told my mom I got rejected the day before (she had not), and that they had resent the email.

To this day I have not been notified.

Congrats to those who got in, and Hunter is still an option for me, but I think it's an extremely unprofessional way to run the school. This school was high on my list and I was a strong applicant, and to not even be worth the 20 seconds it takes to send a rejection email really really sucks.

Future00, What major did you apply for?

CCNY's atmosphere is basically pretty much what you make of it. I'll have to warn you about administration because that sucks in like every school but there are some really good professors and they are bad professors that you should avoid like the plague.

What are you expecting from CCNY? What specifically do you have questions about?

@ KidNovelist
Do you currently go to CCNY? And if yes, are you a macaulay student?
