I'm Econ and Political Science major.
And I want to do international business in the future.
How do you guys rank them ?? And why if u have any good reasons ?
Thank you~
U of Chicago for econ and CMC are pretty close for academics, with most likely U of chicago with the slight edge. But they have different environments and all, city/suburbs, CA vs. Chicago, warm vs. colder. From what I know, cmc and U of Chicago are more known for economics/politics than Carleton in comparison. But all are great schools, you can't go wrong with any of your choices
UChicago is for grad school. Come to CMC, we'd love to have you!
Honestly though, make the decision that is right for you. Don't base it off rankings or others opinions, just go where you could see yourself thriving for 4years academically and socially.
Good luck!
For economics and political science, Uchicago and CMC are a step ahead of Carleton. Uchicago is more intellectual than CMC (versus the practicality of an education at CMC), with its economics department being slightly more respected. The political science department at CMC is better than the one at Uchicago.
In terms of nonacademics, the two schools are very different. Consider the size of the student body, the presence of grad students, the weather, etc.
thank you, passingafternoon ^^
yep, actually I kinda wanna go to CMC... But you know, coz' I'm an international student, University of Chicago is more famous all over the world. So it's really difficult to decide.
Anyway, they haven't given me notification yet. Transfer decision would come out in May. I'm so nervous right now...
