SATs: 670 CR, 700 M, 760 (I think my math score has the potential to be a lot higher when I get it back next week)

my extracurrics and stuff are pretty good: I don't think that I would be rejected from a college because of them.
do they care about the major you apply to? Mine is Environment, Economics, and Politics.

extra-curriculars:
-lots and lots on environmental work: awards, research, etc. (hence the major and I fit like a glove)
-community service stuff: president, blah, blah
-school play lead stuff

I am curious; is CMC your first choice? If so, are you clear why? If you can write your essay showing how you are a good fit, I think that can really help. Your SAT scores are strong, and I think your EC's show strong leadership.
On a different note--did you take the most challenging courses offered at your school? That is always important at highly selective schools.

CMC isn't my top choice, but its up there. As to if I'm clear why, to be honest, yes but no at the same time. I like it a lot but not for a very unique reason--I guess I just like its mission statement and the major I'm gonna go for.
Yeah, I took the most challenging courses offered, but my school doesn't have APs or IB or anything--so I don't know if that means much.
