| Interview and admission...current CMC students, help?
Hi, approximately how long should an on-campus interview be? Half an hour? An hour? More? Also, did you receive your letters of acceptance via email or mail, or both?

Not a current student here, but here's a small point of reference. I drove 2 kids to interviews in July. Seems like they were each busy talking for 45 minutes or so.

I don't know about ED but for regular admissions CMC will mail you a letter with password and ID info to get into a site that will have your admissions status posted on a stated date. This site is only active for a limited amount of time. Don't loose the letter, CMC will not give you this information over the phone. They will mail out the decisions shortly after the results appear online.

The interview runs for about 30 minutes with one of the associate deans of admissions.
Like 181818 said, CMC mails out a letter in late February (I think) with a link + login information, and updates the status in late March. They will mail out the letter (or package! on 4/1.

Interesting. The kids I know both had interviews with students who were working in the admissions office.

I'm not a current student, but I interviewed at CMC last month. The interview is generally with a senior (student) interviewer, although I was interviewed by someone on the staff (entirely random, I believe). They're supposed to run for about half an hour, but I would budget more time than that-- mine went for over an hour (probably due to the admissions officer rather than a student), so I would leave at least an hour between that and your next appointment or when you have to leave, because you don't want to be rushing! Good luck!

Wow, you all had pretty long interviews imo. I interviewed in Sept 08 with a senior (student) interviewer and it took about 20-30 minutes, tops. From what it seems, though, that tends to be longer if you get a staff interviewer.
As 181818 said, you'll receive info for an online account to check online. Be aware, though, that the servers tend to clog up a LOT when they first open, so you might need to wait a few minutes (maybe even a few hours) to get your decision.
They also send an envelope, so if for some reason your internet isn't working, you'll still find out in a few days or so.
