Will Clark accpet me and give financial aid??

I am international student from Nepal.

I have good high school record. 3.5 GPA, TOp 10% of class.

ECA: many many. too good.

The main thing is my SAT. I dont know why i cant do good in SAT. I got median range marks. Not good at all.

What are my chances??

Depends on how much aid you ask for...last year a kid from my shool got $16000 in aid and his SAT score was between 1800-1900...his GPA was'nt that good either

I'm reading some misconceptions in this thread about how financial aid works.

There is a difference between financial aid and merit aid (scholarships). Financial aid need is calculated based on your finances as input into the FAFSA and College Board PROFILE forms. I believe Clark requires both forms to be completed.

An Estimated Financial Contribution (EFC) is calculated on both forms. As an example lets say Clark's tuition, room, & board is $40,000 per year. Your family's EFC is calculated to be $30,000. The $10,000 difference is your "need". Clark may or may not give you the entire $10,000 through a combination of need-based grants, loans, work study, etc. You are not guaranteed to get 100% of your need. You also do not "ask" for a certain amount in aid. The need is calculated for you and that is that.

Merit aid (scholarships) are a different story. This aid is based on your academic record and 99.9% of the time has nothing to do with need or your EFC. The Merit aid is at the discretion of the college. You may get nothing, you may get a lot. It depends on how you have done in school and how you match with Clark's needs.

I hope this helps. You just don't "ask" for aid and get it.

International students do not fill out either the FAFSA or the PROFILE for Clark. Rather, they

There is no way to determine how much aid you will get. However, it is clear that Clark will not give you all the money you might need to attend.
