My d did not get the second chicken pox vaccine, (we werent aware) her school demanded another vaccination before she could register for classes. Since it was during swine flu and seh was getting several vaccines, flu. etc.. i had the titer drawn and she had immunity.

WE'RE DONE, WE'RE DONE, OH YES, WE'RE DONE!!!!!

Picked daughter up at the train station tonight and as we were reviewing tomorrows' activities I reminded her that she still had to deal with college emails and such. Apparently the friend that she spent the day with turned out to be very helpful (saying much of what we had already discussed but it was a peer not a parent), calmed her, pointed out a few things, and voila, she was ready to commit. She put on the school t-shirt, filled champagne glasses with soda, clipped the pennant from the school onto our dogs' collar and sent him into the room where my husband was sitting ahead of us. We followed the dog in and raised a glass to celebrate her decision then quickly went to the computer and placed our deposit, followed by a visit to the online bookstore for some purchases.

Momentary feeling of remorse, quickly left as all her friends responded to her posting on FB. I am so happy and relieved. I know she will still have panic attacks about going away to college but I will bask in the glow of tonight for at least a day or two. Oh and I guess I need to pay bills since I haven't this whole month! I'm definitely drinking at our charity dinner tomorrow night.

Knox College is her decision. Thank you all for allowing me to vent and ramble through this process, I truly would have been even more of a basket case without that opportunity.

Congrats on the newest decisions!

I saw S'15's show twice this weekend (Les Miserables). Wow! What a great production! Such a lot of talent in those kids! And the almost-all student orchestra (current teachers are allowed to play too) sounded fabulous. And I must say, my little chorus member did an outstanding job of getting shot and dying on the barricade.

I helped DD pack today as she's moving from one apartment to another. Got a non-halogen desk lamp out of it for DS to take to college and she bequeathed two treasured items of clothing from her residential college at Yale to her brother.
