PNJ- glad your family is getting support from each other. May your dad RIP. I did the same thing at my parents house searching for internet, but the one I was able to get onto is now encrypted Luckily have a smart phone now.
D2 had her show this past weekend and it was very good. My parents came up to see it yesterday and so we had a skype with D1. She was able to get downtown a couple times over her long weekend, so sounds like her term is going well..

Continuing prayers for PNJ. We lost my BIL to colon cancer 5 years ago. It certainly takes a toll on everyone, please remember to take care of yourself too.
My parents put a security code on their internet.....they were terrified someone would get into 'their stuff'. I never did get them to understand that they're using their signal, not their computer.
Snow day here. We have about 2-3 inches but a little ice underneathe. It's suppose to snow through the afternoon with freezing drizzle to top it off. I guess I can't complain, it's the middle of February and this is our 2nd snow and first snow day. I don't remember the last time we've had such a mild winter. (However, the wind chill Saturday was -5)
We attended the International Dinner for our ES12 on Saturday. It was interesting. There were 50 kids and their host families, each brought 2 dishes. Most were good, surprisingly, the desserts were the one's I didn't care for as much.
We stopped off at a hospital in KC on our way home. A dear friend of ours had an 'episode' last Wednesday. He is about 50. They found a small brain tumor. He is having surgery today to biopsy it. All his other scans and tests have come back 'clean' so that is good news.
Took the girls to Star Wars 3-D yesterday - D15 and her friend wearing their storm trooper & Darth Vader masks....... I must admit, I have a hard time following along with star wars.
In May, my private preschool/child care will have its 20th anniversary. I'm thinking about having an open house. Any suggestions? I'll invite the families I've taken care of (some are now married with their own children !). Some are in other states and I have no idea how to contact them , but most I can locate. My entire basement is allocated .... livingroom, playroom, kitchen, and bathroom. On one of the walls in the playroom, we have the kids handprints with name & date - we started that when we moved to this house 10 years ago. I thought all the alumni could put their handprint on the opposite wall. I can get t-shirts made with our logo on the front with a 20th anniversary thing and maybe put all the kids' names on the back. There are over 60 last time I counted. We can have cookies, juice boxes, tea & lemonade. I thought I'd put something in the paper too for the general public. What else would be nice to do?
No college news over the weekend.

Good morning!
PNJ: My thoughts are with you. Sorry for your loss!
Checkers: Your party for your preschool sounds so fun! I am sure you could find a lot of your students on Facebook.
We had a family brunch for my in-laws 60th anniversary. It was very nice. I took a bunch of pictures and decided for a present to give them a photo book of the day.
D1 was home for 3 days, she had a friend from school with her and they spent all day/night Saturday at Disneyland. S2 was home for 24 hours. Most of which he slept. I think college must be exhausting! They both look good and seem very happy, so I am happy. S3 took the ACT on Saturday. He is a "glass half-full" type of guy, so as usual, said it went great. The weekend was WAY too short so going to work today was difficult.

Forgot to add that S3 went on a "date" on Saturday night. He took the girl who he went to the Winter Formal with, to the movie (The Vow) on Saturday night. At least one of my three kids is dating!!

Oh no! I just read on the WFU website that sophomores have to declare their majors this week. Well, they don't HAVE to, but they should. If they do it now, they get major/minor scheduling priority when Fall registration opens next month.
I can't help thinking this is too soon. Son doesn't "love" a major yet. He's only studied the gen eds. He thinks he knows what he wants, but that's only after ONE course. Sigh. This nervewracking for me. I wonder if it stresses him out, too.

D has to write up a proposal to submit to the department where she wants to major. She has to list all the courses she plans to take. This has been an issue, because many classes she hasn't taken yet have been because of schedule conflicts. She also isn't sure about keeping her current "minor focus area" or changing it. She doesn't need to submit this until sometime by the end of this year, but would be nice when she does get it approved.
Lots of ✉ going around today from U Rochester, PN's S, my D, don't know if there are others on this thread if so make yourself known. Only reason you got the envelope from me is that G# nicely dug it up a few pages back.
