Just stopped by for a quick ~~wave at my iPeeps, and I couldn't find us. Second page again!!

Welcome, ldavis. Most of us have kids who graduated from HS in 2010, and as a result we have kids who will graduate from college in 2014 "and beyond." Some of us are done with SAT/ACTs, applications, college visits, and the like, though some of us still have these things in our lives for our other children. In any event, you're welcome to hang around here - we are a friendly bunch and the more the merrier.

Afternoon All! Been following but not posting much.

Checkers: Don't know anything about hedgehogs unless you count Sonic in the video games!

JackieF: Happy Belated Anniversary to you and Mr. Jackie!!

I really wish GSharp had just posted so I could just say ditto!

In College news - S2 is so enjoying Greek. I asked him if he likes it enough to change his concentration from Latin to Greek and I was hit with an absolute NO. He did say that he wishes he could have started earlier with the Greek so he would be able to take more classes before graduation, but his heart has always been Latin education so I'm just happy that he's happy.

Thanks to a certain frequent poster on here I started my Christmas shopping!

Checkers - don't know anything about hedgehogs except my girls always wanted one when they were younger. We did have a couple of guinea pigs that were really cute

Morning everyone.

Stuck in the doctor's office this morning for blood tests. Lots of waiting between drinking gross orange flavored concoctions.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Good morning! Happy Friday!

Yesterday S raked the rest of the front yard for me after I asked him to do whatever he thought needed doing. He said there was no good place to stop! Maybe other son (visiting this weekend) can do the back yard.

Good morning and TGIF. Thanks for the coffee, p56.

It's fall break for S. He gets one day off (today). So, he and 3 friends are spending the weekend on St. Simons Island, Ga. He thinks midterms went well. But, we've heard that story before. So, let's wait and see.

That's about it from here. Work week was a killer, so I just need down time.

Have a great weekend.

Good morning!

I got a CALL from S2 yesterday. I knew it wasn't good news, because he always texts good news. Evidently a bite or pimple on his forehead ballooned overnight into a giant ball covering half of his forehead. He wanted to know what to do. "go to the student health center you stupid kid!" He was given an antibiotic and got a flu shot while he was there. By nighttime he said it was already looking much better. But I did catch up. He is fine, but busy. I made plans to go up for the Friday of Parents Weekend on November 2nd. I was going to skip it, but a friend of mine has a freshman and didn't want to go alone. Last year I had a great time so I am looking forward to it.

No other news.

I had a call from D2 today (my freshman) to tell me that she got the highest score on the 11 chapter midterm for her Intro to Fashion class with a 95%. She also said she is going to dinner with a friend she met in her Statistics class and the girl's roommate who is also a Marketing/Comm major like D2. It was nice to start my day with a happy call from her for a change

My H is off tomorrow for a week long business trip to Germany, Denmark and Norway. I talked to my mom last night and told her I would come see her and my dad tomorrow. I may spend the night as I had to cancel my stand up paddle board lesson for Sunday since my friend has a conflict.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hurray for a happy call from showmom's D2. Here's to many more.

My office is as dead as can be today - they gave the group of people who work on my floor the day off, even though the rest of the office is open. I just moved to this floor last night, so spent the first two hours of the day unpacking (not to mention how many hours I've spent packing over the last week or so). I think I'm pretty settled. Trying to get some work done, but it's almost too quiet.

Have a great weekend.

Yea for happy phone calls and (hopefully) good midterms.

Mdem, hope your medical tests went well.

I have come down with a miserable cold. Got my nails done last weekend and realized halfway through that the manicurist (who, like all manicurists in this shop, was wearing a mask) kept blowing her nose. I almost stayed home from work today, but decided to go in and come home a little early. Looking forward to a quiet, restful weekend.
