I'm thinking of applying here just to keep my options open after being waitlisted at a couple of other schools...

As I understand it, many applicants applied by 12/1 and were notified in mid-February. So if I apply so late in the game are my chances of being offered admission greatly decreased or what? I've looked on the website and really haven't seen anything about this, but logic would suggest that that would be the case.

By the way, I have a 3.4 WGPA with a weird grading scale, a massive upward trend and a 32 on the ACT. This isn't a chance me thread, I just am curious as to how applying late affects me.

I think the later you apply, the lesser your chances. Especially now when there are so many applicants.

Deadline for Fall admission (regular decision) is May 7th, 2008. I would give admissions a call with any questions. Also, follow-up with an email with any explanation of grading scales. Clemson admissions is pretty responsive. I can't respond as to the chances of acceptance but would guess your assumptions are correct.

It is not too late to apply but the deadline is NOT may 7, its May 1!!! It is correct that the later you wait to apply, the more selective it gets so I would definitely get on the ball...
