hey, i just found out i was accepted to clemson for the 2008-2009 year. i will be a sophomore, and i am very interesting in rushing a sorority.
does anyone know how competitive the recruitment is at Clemson? i heard some people saying that i will need recommendations, but others (as well as the clemson website) say it is not necessary.
Does anyone have any insight on this? it would be so helpful!
As far as recommendations go, I don't think you need them for sorority rush. I'm sure some people bring them, but I don't know if they have any weight. Rush can be hectic and competitive for girls. There are some that don't get bids, but if you be yourself and try to get out to a few sororities, I'm sure it won't be a problem.
Could anyone "rank" the sororities and fill me in on any of the stereotypes? Are girls recruited more on looks or personality? (be honest!) I know at my school now, it's definitely more about looks, but i'm not sure if that's everywhere..
Most sororities have a lot of pretty girls, but IMO most of the girls at Clemson are beautiful. I would say that they recruit on personality; however, there may be a shallow person or two in the process.
