Football tickets

I hear that there are already tents set up to buy tickets tomorrow morning for the opening football game? (Iptay members) Does that mean if you dont camp out tonight you will not be able to get a ticket to the opener? How does all of this work?

You will still be able to get a ticket tomorrow if you are in IPTAY (and likely most others getting tickets through the student give out since IPTAY is only allotted a certain block). However, you might be in the upper deck or hill if you aren't out there early.

well I actually didn't need to camp out last night because I joined an organization on campus called Central Spirit (a student run organization) and they get priority tickets before everyone else (including IPTAY) in exchange for going to 10 games/year that aren't football or basketball and blowing up balloons before football games so I got 4th row tickets through that organization. I camped out trying to see if I could switch out and sit with some friends who aren't doing Central Spirit but I was told that if I switched out, I wouldn't be allowed to get central spirit tickets for the rest of the semester so I decided to stay with my CS tickets.

It was a good experience to have anyways and I had a lot of fun camping out, I'd definitely do it again even though I don't have to get tickets that way.

All right, Pierre, so glad you're getting involved in your school. Since you said you have to attend not football or basketball games, can I recommend baseball to you? I've met some former Clemson baseball players as they've come through our triple A team, and they have been great players, as well as great guys. One outstanding guy was Henri Stanley. He was a big prospect in the Astros organization, and don't know where he is now, but my husband and I really enjoyed meeting and talking with him. He had a double major, as I recall, and was a very intelligent, well spoken young man. So definitely do baseball to fulfill your obligation. And since you're an engineering major, you might want to take in some of the women's sports, to broaden your horizons. Just kidding!
