Chances of being accepted?!

Ok!

Clemson is my number one choice and I will definitely be letting them know I would do anything to go there!

I am out of state from Fairfax County, Virginia.
My brother went to Clemson.
I would like to major in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education.
I have taken 3 APs and 4 Honors.
National Honors Society for 3 years.( Lots of other clubs as well)
Varsity Cheer for 4 years and captain this year.

My GPA is 3.74 weighted
...but the grading system until last year (2009) was:
(94-100= A) (90-93= B+) (84-89= B)(80-83= C+) etc.

When I say weighted I mean they just recently retroactivated our Honors and AP courses. Giving us .5 for Honors and 1.0 for APs

They however did not change our grades to the normal grading scale which is now
(90-100=A)

If my grades were to be retroactivated to a normal grading scale, my GPA would be 3.91

I am waiting on my ACT score, but I was wondering what some of you may think I need to get on it to get in and if I have a good chance?!

Thanks so much

I think an ACT score of 24-29 would be good enough since you are an A student (I know Virginia has those funky grading scales but I think schools like Clemson have seen enough applications to know that). I think you'll definitely get in. Look forward to seeing you next fall!

I agree with Pierre, although I think a 24 ACT may be a bit on the low side.

Oh great!!

Thank you so much!

And yes I definitely agree... from what I know and from what I have heard, it probably needs to be around a 26-27, or higher. So after 3 ACT tests, if I end up taking the one in December, hopefully my scores will be good enough!

I really hope and pray!

yeah I agree, if you get a 27 or higher, that would be perfect
