The town of Clemson is small but you can find everything you need. The CAT bus system works extremely well during the week to get to where you want to go. Anderson is a larger town with nearly everything but is a long way away. However, there is a bus that comes every hour and takes you over there during the weekday (6 AM - 6 PM).
As for non-alcoholic entertainment, there are hundreds of student organizations on campus. During the 1st week of school, there is a students organization fair on Bowman Field where organizations set up tables and you can walk around and see what you want to get involved with!
I'm not so familiar with the music scene on campus so I would not be the one to ask for this but I do occasionally get invited to live music events at Spill The Beans, Dunkin Donuts etc.... from students on campus who want to put on a show. The Bi-Lo Center in Greenville has shows (I know Taylor Swift came earlier in September haha), if you can find someone to take you to Athens, Georgia, it's about an hour away. On campus, the Brooks Center puts on many shows and there are a few major acts that show up at Littlejohn every year (Honors students get free tickets to the Brooks Center events).
As for movies, student government and ClemsonLive (they put on non-alcohol run events the 1st friday of every month and several other events) show a couple movies every month. I know "I Love You Man", "Watchman", "The Hangover" have been shown in the last month (probably a few more i can't remember). There's a small $2 movie theater in downtown Clemson. If you want to find a big/major movie theater, you would find those in Anderson.
The train station is about 3/4 of a mile from campus. However, there is a bus that runs from campus to the train station that comes every 30 minutes from 7:30 AM to 9 PM and every hour from 9 PM to 3 AM (I use it a lot to go grocery shopping).
