The Secretaries' Cup!

Well, maybe it isn't Army-Navy but this is a big game for the cadets and mids at the CGA and MMA! The latest edition will be held this Saturday at the Coast Guard Academy at 1 p.m. The Cadets will be out in force to root on their Bears against the Mariners. Though both teams are having seasons they would rather forget, you can throw out the records in this one! Hope to see some of you at the game. I know jm will be there in spirit. I will be taking lots of pics for posting over the weekend. Good luck to both teams, no injuries please!

Heads-Up on Parking at CGA this Saturday

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are apparently several events taking place this weekend at CGA in addition to the big football game, including an NCAA Volleyball tournament. Parking will be at a premium and here is some info I just got from the school:

Due to several events happening aboard the Academy this Saturday, 12 Nov 05, The following parking restrictions will be in effect.

-Visitors' Center Lot and Tampa Dr. hill will be reserved for Volleyball Tournament participants and spectators. No one should leave vehicles in these areas over the weekend.
- Upper and Lower Billard Lots will be reserved for football officials, coaches, etc. All vehicles should be removed from these lots prior to 2200 Friday night.
- K lot (between Yeaton and Mac Halls) and C lot (between Yeaton and Satterlee Halls) will be reserved for VIP Luncheon guests.
- N lot (against Leamy Hall) will be reserved for MMA Alumni guests.
- O lot (SW section) will be reserved for Mac Hall Engineering guests until 1000.
- Eagle Dr. near Jacob's Rock and the lots around Pine Hall are reserved for Sailing Regatta participants both Saturday and Sunday.
-The "Loop" in front of the Officer's Club is reserved for motorcade.

Except for the score...

It was a great day in New London. Beautiful weather, 50's and sunny...great crowd...parking wasn't too bad...very impressive march-on...joint color guard then the Mids and then the Coasties. I met jamz and took a couple pics of him. Here are the complete photos. Very good day.

Actually the hot dogs were only $1.50...unbelievable! The CPO's retiree club sponsors the concessions...very reasonable. But you're right the whole day was priceless...even tho the mascots were going at it(in fun...I think!)
