She has appointments to AFA, USNA and now CGA. She also received her scholarship notice from Hillsdale today and she has an NROTC scholarship to Embry-Riddle. SHe's headed out to Annapolis this week for a CVW. I don't know if she's going to be able to visit CGA again--she can't keep missing her calculus class at the college...

Very nice. I have a similar situation to hers, but my choices are USMA, AFA, and CGA. Does she want to be a pilot, or what is she looking to do?

It definitely deserves its own thread! Guess we'll have to wait until Monday--oh wait--you'll have to wait until Tuesday--not fair!

do i have to get dodmerb approved before they send me their decision, or is that separate? i spent all day at travis afb yesterday just to get a 2 second back xray, and i have to go back in a week to pick up the results (the place is 2 hrs away).

Yes you will have to be approved by Dodmerb first.

Well, dd got her appt to AFA w/o her DoDMERB being cleared (though it cleared the next week--she had an LOA. Her Navy appt didn't happen until her DoDMERB cleared--she had an LOA. I don't know about CGA! I think everything has to be cleared... They did ask my dd to take all sorts of measurements--waist, hips, wrist etc. and then suggested she retake the CFA. She didn't get to it--just too much time at the pool, so she didn't have a coach that could schedule it. Plus, I don't know where she would have run--we have 3 feet of snow on the ground. I guess they decided they didn't need it after all. I was surprised to see the packet today--I thought they weren't going out until mid-March too.

CGA is strict because the color blindness thing caused a lot of kids to be DQ'ed last year even after being appointed. I don't think they want that to happen again.
