Graduation Gift Ideas

This is that time of year when the question arises, "What do you get a graduate who is attending the Academy?"

If you are in the New London area, gift cards are an excellent choice. Here is what we've found to be the favorite places for cadets to shop when we take them off campus:

USCGA related:
CGA Bookstore: Yes! Gift certificates are available for your incoming swab
MWR (Discount movie tickets, bowling certificates)

Area businesses:
Target
Wal-Mart
Borders Bookstore
Coldstone Cremery
Best Buys
Subway
Panera Bread
Outback
Chili's
Ruby Tuesday's
Staples
Office Max
Dick's Sporting Goods
Eastern Mountain Sports
Waldenbooks
Barnes & Noble
CVS Drugstores
Phone cards

Congratulations to the Incoming Class of 2010!
Semper Paratus

PS:
Moms, dads, and family members...see you on RDay! The many Parent's Association Chapters will have great CGA goodies for sale, so bring your cash & checkbooks (most won't take a credit card) when you visit Leamy Hall and the Base Exchange gift store will have your 2010 tee-shirts for sale.

CM I especially like your choice of "Subway." Ha ha folks out there listen to CM she's one of the top parents at the Academy with great volunteer spirit. She knows her stuff!
