Extended time

Is it true that the Coast Guard Academy does not accept ACT/SAT scores from applicants with extended time?

If this is true what is the reasoning behind it?

How does this affect the no child left behind act?

Thanks

-Mike

No SA accept the extended time SAT/ACT. Generally, if a student needs extend time--ADD/ADHD/LD reasons, they will not do well at a SA. The SA aren't going to give you extend time in class exams. The expect everyone to keep up, think and act quickly. Later on in your career lives depend on you.

This has nothing to do with no child left behind. That is a federal program run by states. Each state has it own testing policies and test. FL has the FCAT, VA has standards of learning, AZ has ARROWS each program is different.
