Any comments of the Math/Statistics Major?

I would like to hear from any current cadets or graduates that have or are majoring in Math/Statistics. What type of assignments do you have or will have after you graduate?

I just wanted to let you know if you didn't know that what the cadets major in at USCGA has nothing to do with what they will have as a career.
Example...
You could be a engineer major and become a lawyer.

But what you study does have some impact on your 'wish list.' An ME major may have different opportunities open to them than say a Government major and visa versa.
And it will be a couple of years before you could become that lawyer.

The first two years after graduation most kids go on a cutter. Then they can think about grad school. Others go on to flight training, some right out of the Academy and others later.
