Don't worry too much about pull-ups...they are no longer part of the PFE which now consists of situps, pushups and 1.5 mile run.

My son, who was a weightlifting champion in h.s., had a lot of trouble with pull ups himself.

I think it's in the range of 100-120 per session.

whoo...okay, im not worrying about the pull ups so much anymore lol

I am pretty sure that there are about 400-500 AIMsters in all, with like 100-150 per week. It should be fun.

You should have gotten a list by now. If not you need to contact the academy.

If you go online here: United States Coast Guard Academy and click on the AIM Handbook PDF File, theres a list of what you need to bring. I packed tonight...I was somehow able to fit everything in a duffle bag! Whoo! lol Do we need to wear anything special to CGA the day of registration?

No come in comfortable clothes and sneakers. Shorts are ok. Don't wear tee-shirt if possible. Nothing to draw attention to yourself.

So fortunately, I was worried over nothing lol. Of course, I only live about four hours away so i was there right at one...and then had to wait for four hours in Leamy Hall watching the Guardian and trying to memorize the mission lol. I was in Charlie company...and I loved every second of it! It was the best experience of my life. A dufflebag was definitely a good idea. Thanks for the tip Unfortunately I was on the third floor of Chase Hall so carrying my bag up the hill and then up three flights of stairs was not fun...but I was in the only air conditioned wing of the building it, shared with Bravo Company so i lucked out on that! I am so happy that I went, Ill never forget it and now I want to attend CGA without a doubt!

haha thanks I feel like I changed even after just one week of being there. When I got back home, it seemed like I only had my parents and one friend who really understood what it was like...her brother is a Swab right now. My other friends were like "oh...so was it fun getting yelled at and doing push ups?" It wasnt about the fun though, it was about understanding what its like at CGA and if it was right for me.
